10. HOW TO DESCRIBE?
Words cannot do justice to my experience this week.
I'll try my best.
Do you have a hobby/special interest or something you're passionate about? Can u imagine that the genius of that interest you have, met u and spent 1 week with u. To impart as much knowledge with you as u can absorb. Answers all your questions as thoroughly as he possibly can? Let's say u're a scientist and your "hero" is Albert Einstein. Imagine Einstein spends a whole week with you and guides u in your post graduate thesis. Explaining in detail the questions that you have. Shows you some tricks of the trade and his perspective on things.
That's exactly what happened to me.
The 4 of us sat down , after sending our guest to the airport for his flight back to Japan, and could not believe we've had such an honor of meeting such a humble gentleman. We are humbled by his knowledge. He's not a jack of all trades, he's a master of all trades. I know all this sounds exaggerated, but if only you guys knew.
We'll miss him, but the things is, he said he'll be back. :) better start taking Japanese classes so that on his next trip, at least I can try to communicate and not just use hand signal (I just realised how hard life would be for me if I lost my voice. The "simple" things that I take for granted)
Ok I'm sure you guys get my drift. So let's move on to what i did today.
Well basically, I took half day leave today. Had to go into the office early. Cleared my work and went off to pick up our guest from his hotel. Went straight to our workshop. Basically stayed in the workshop for the rest of the day to excorcise gremlins from my car. To cut a long story short, managed to catch all the gremlins. :D i'm such a happy boy.
After all the ghost busting, we took a well deserved break and just chilled. Just lazed around and chatted. Reminds me of the usual movie scene with a bunch of cowboys around the fireplace sharing stories of how big the Red Indians they've seen. :) Twas fun and enlightening ;)
Sent him to the airport and ate at Nando's. Said our goodbyes and He left. No fireworks or lightning bolts. He just walks away calmly and that's that.
The 4 of us just went over to Chef & Brew to have a "debriefing" session.
*YAWN* excuse me, it's time to sleep d. Sweet dreams to all of u.
..................................................................................
Stars in order of apprearance:
Albert Einstein – Genius
Gremlins - Little critters that "haunts" one's car
Cowboys - some one who tends cattles & performs other duties on horse back
Red Indians - Tribal people who are harrased by them cowboys
The 4 of us – Chong, Zakri, Jack & I
All of u – Duhh!
