8. TODAY WE GO PUBLIC!!!!!!!!

After consulting with the star chart. I found that Venus lines up with Mars and the Sun is eclipsed by the Moon and pluto is nearest to the sun in it's orbit on this very day. Therefore, i declare that today, my blog will be made public.

Had a crazy week, wonder how i'll ever top it. We'll, guess there's only one way to find out. :) Stay tuned.

Glad to have all of you onboard (Actually I have no idea how many ppl actually bother to read my blogs becoz i haven't been able to get the hit counter to work). Hope it keeps the few informed and entertained.
7. Another Early Morning!!!!

Just got back. Now gonna sleep as it'll be an early morning for me tomorrow.

Think I'm gonna go public with this Blog of mine. Perhaps tomorrow? Perhaps next week? I'll need to consult my star chart. I wonder when will Venus line up with Mars and the Sun is eclipsed by the Moon and pluto is nearest to the sun in it's orbit.

Stay tuned.

Time to say hit the sack and try...............................

6. Good Morning!!!!

Today started off "early"!

Got a call from my friends at 845am. But my "morning" started at 12am when i went over to Soho to welcome Ai Fen (my sister in law) back to the outside world after she's been confined for a month. That lasted till about 3am. Baby Ru Yi (my first niece) is still as cute as can be.........for now. :)

Anyway, back to the story, they set my house as the meeting point. We will take our Japanese guest for Dim Sum near the Resevoir Garden roundabout and proceed to Kek Lok Si temple from there.

Dim Sum was really good. Feel like a pig. Glad our guest enjoyed it as well.

Kek Lok Si temple has really "flourished". My goodness, I think I should set up a temple some where. Looks like LVOC (Looi's Very Own Church) will be replaced with LVOT (Temple) pretty soon. :) Wish I can attach some pictures soon, then you guys can see how much "investment" they put in. Oh well, suplly and demand I guess.

Now we're at Chong's place in Kepala Batas. Just gonna chill here and plan our next move (more like just chill).

More later

Stars in order of appearance:
Ai Fen - My Sister in law
Ru Yi - My Niece
Japanese Guest - Ando San
Pig - unfortunately me
Friends - The usual suspects

My Random Thots:
There's a very very very thin line between being nice and a wuss. So many times i went across the line and didn't even realise it. But then again, so many a times I went the opposite way (into the RED). Wonder which is better, being a Wuss or an Ass :D I'm trying to strike a balance k :P

5. BLUR

As expected.........i didn't make sense :D

just proof read my blog entry early this morning. :P

i had only 4 hrs of sleep, so for now, i'm not even gonna try to correct my earlier entry. see you guys later this evening la. Guess i might not be able to make it to church tomorrow morning d (Who says I'm not psychic).

But it's been a constant learning experience with this guy.

i'd quit my job in an instant if he'll accept me as a padawan.

Me thinks i'm gonna start a collumn dedicated to my random thoughts. I think i'll call it profoundly "My Random Thots"

There is a correction in my earlier blog entry.

* There is another guy from the car related field that i'd like to meet. Keiichi Tsuchiya (I hope I got the spelling right), But I was told that a real good driver is Yokoshima San from the Japan GT
4. A Lesson

Today I met a simple guy who taught me, thru his actions, the meaning of the word Humility. He is basically Humility personified. I mean, one reads about Jesus Christ, Gandhi, Mother Theresa and goodness, even Lassie (it's 3am, cut me some slack). But i guess for me, I need to see, feel and hear the person live to have an impact ;)

Sorry, I'm just wired that way. You can tell me how Gandhi stage a hunger srtike, bla bla bla but if I see an old lady feeding stray dogs, some how that just moves me more.

This guy is probably the most sought after guy in the automotive industry in Japan. Forget what you read in the magazines. This guy is it. I didn't think too much of him actually when I first met him because he's so understated (and I'm too shallow). He seems like an average joe. Nice guy, warm and cheerful (occasionally moody as well ;)). Anyway, what's impressive is his knowledge and his accolades.

I don't want to brag too much about his achievements, but suffice to say, I think he's just about the greatest person (in the automotive industry) that I've met. I'm not sure I can think of anyone else that can give me the same satisfaction........oh wait, i lie. There probably is someone else. It'll be him, but he'll be able to converse in English (I have to thank Chong for being so patient to translate everything for us).

I couldn't find one bit about him that suggests his great achievements. Not an iota of arrogance and always happy to share his knowledge.

Amazing.

I wonder if i made sense. It's 3am. I'll proof read this again tomorrow. Now it's time to sleep.

3. IMMATURE?

I've been called Childish or Immature, so in my defence, "AM NOT!"
-woon hong-

Mikey's Thot for the Day: Maturity is knowing when and where to be immature.

This is something i subscribe to and it's sent out daily. Some days they're good, and somedays they're not so good. I had to include this particular "funnies" in my blog as a reminder. The first time i look at Mikey's thot for the day, i thot, THANK GOD! I AM MATURED! but as i ponder on it, i think i failed :( reality bites. This one will bite me for a while.

What is the deal with lightning bugs? I mean, here is this rather ordinary looking flying insect, but wait ... it has a glow-in-the-dark rear end! What was God thinking?

I'm sure science has all kinds of explanations about how this fluorescent fanny is useful for mating and other stuff, but why did God choose to make the lightning bug glow? I wonder if, when God was creating all the animals and everything around us, he came up with the idea of the lightning bug and said, "The kids are gonna love this."

We know that God loves us enough to create all the things we need to survive, but does God loves us so much He created some things just to make us smile?

Just seeing lightning bugs takes me back to those warm summer nights of my youth. I'd be running around the back yard with my empty Mason jar, racing toward the flashing lights all around me. I can still feel the joy and hear the laughter echoing through my memories. Lightning bugs were as much a part of summer as fireworks, fresh tomatoes, and big ice-cold slabs of juicy watermelon. (I also have a theory of why God made watermelon seeds the perfect size to spit, but that is another story.)

God created so much diversity in this world, much more than is needed for mere survival. He made all of this for us, and He wants us to enjoy it.

We can get so busy surrounding ourselves with man-made goods that we don't notice the living tapestry God has laid out all around us.

I guess lightning bugs do have a purpose after all. They are a reminder of a creative God who loves us so much, He'd even paint the rear end of a bug ... just to see us smile ...

2. A NEW DAY

Today is yet another interesting day. Received the NDA and some papers to fill up from a big account we're trying to secure. A positive sign. Next will be to wait for them to set a date for an audit. Well, at least all the preparation was worth it. bet they didn't even realise the brochures were only ready the day before the presentation. :) ahhhhh, the sweet sweet satisfaction.

on a not so positive note, feeling a little blue coz the spark plug of my car died.

as for the rest of today, it's kind of a big blur :) so what else is new eh?

1. A START

Well here i am typing possibly to myself :) haven't told anyone about this blog. might as well just try it sans the pressure to "perform". heh heh heh.

Well, here's to an interesting new year. mix of joy and sadness.

been reading a few books since the new year. interesting habit. har har har. few books can keep my interest. but when a good read comes along, it's fascinating. i can't put it down. hmmm, sounds familiar with other areas of my life. perhaps this will be a good time to mention what i'll blog and what i'll not blog about. The boundaries include my relationships, domestic issues and personal attacks on individuals (I can, however, attack public figures) ;) so if u're looking for these juicy bits, move along, nothing to see here.

ok, with that aside, i wonder if my life will still be interesting.

Ok back to the books.

The most interesting one so far is "What Do You Care What Other People Think?" by Richard P. Feynman.

I picked it up by accident actually (this oughta be proof that sometimes ppl are shallow and still judge a book by it's cover). It was in my brother's room and the title caught my attention. It's the kinda reckless abandonment that i like ;) i was expecting to read about human psychology and such. To my surprise, it's actually about Dick Feynman. His life. You'd expect with a book title like that, this guy must've been a psychiatrist or philospher or anything else but a scientist.

It's amazing to have a brilliant mind, it's even more so if you can share your knowledge and make it understandable to a lay person. I mean Einstein as we all know is a genius. But i can't understand his theories, i'm stupid like that ;). Stephan Hawkins is another good example. But Dr Feynman, he's amazing. This book even covers his investigation into the 1986 Challenger Disaster. Very interesting read indeed. Don't take my word for it, read it for yourself. I'm going to buy more of his books.

"The Highest forms of undertanding we can achieve are laughter & human compassion - Richard P. Feynman"
