495. Back in the Kandang!

Well, started work and it's already the 3rd day. It's been hectic. Had dinner with Ad & Dennis last and it's been a long time since I've seen them. Started on a new book (Michael Crichton's State of Fear) & bought a bunch of DVDs (Yen, you should really get the Babel DVD, it's good uncensored, I tell you). It never ceases to amaze me how far the Ringgit can stretch when it comes to pirated DVDs. Now, it's even cheaper @ RM6 per DVD. Oh, went to renew my passport yesterday and got it back the next day. Not bad, everything went smoothly. I was a little surprised when I got back my new passport though. The pic on the passport looks as if I have a beard or something. What the? Well, at least I now know what I'll look like if I changed faith. :P

493. The Final Party....

Sat, 24th Feb
.....before the start of real work on monday. Basically it's a New Year party at Beau's place. Like last year, Beau bought 2 boxes of fireworks again. This time, we lit them up and ran :) No cops this time around. Halfway thru, I had to excuse myself to meet up with Yippie, Chong, Jack & Ann. They decided to call it a nite at 2ish. I went over to pick up Fen from SS and then it's back to Beau's place after buying supper for them from Green House. The nite finally ended at 4am.

Woke up at noon and went over to meet up with Chong & Yippie @ Ah Loy's shop, Northern Garage. Jack joined us there later. Just chilled @ the workshop and later went over to Dave's Deli @ Queensbay with Yippie. My relatives came to visit from Sitiawan, so was summoned to dinner @ Corner Club, Gurney Drive. Of course we had to do the traditional "Low Yu Sang".

Having a BBQ @ home tonite. So kwai kwai woke up early @ 930 for breakfast with Wee, Raine & Isaac @ Starbucks, E-Gate before heading over to Tesco to get the essentials for tonite's BBQ. After shopping, it's back home to get some shut eye. After everyone had left, Wee & I stayed up finishing up the liquor and also had a heart to heart. :) Anyway, @ 530am, it's time to call it a "nite". I still have to wake up early for breakfast with Chuwy & Bobin.

Managed to wake up @ 930 again. Picked up Chuwy and off we go to Carnation Bah Kut Teh. We waited for an hour before Bob shows up (this is what happens when you have a newborn in the household). Anyway, we had a good time catching up. By the time I got home, I was so poofed. Slept until late in the evening. *Yawn* Watched episode 17, 18 & 19 of the Deathnote Anime & called it a nite. Need all the rest I can get as I start work tomorrow. :(

It's back to the kandang today. The good news is, it's a quiet day as most of my customers are still off. Left work earlier than usual so that I can get to Jimbo's BBQ party on time. :) Stuffed myself silly with all the food there. Was offered some wine (Brown Brother's 2006 Moscato) & was told that I'd probably like it since the "real" wine drinkers don't like it. I took a sip and they were right. :) It was light & sweet. More like sparkling juice than wine. It's mine! All mine!! Muah har har har har!!!!!

After work it's off to Hau's place for Say Keat's Farewell. He's off to S'pore! Gosh, there's been a lot of farewells this year. Gotta look for new friends before I run outta them. :)

491. Mom's Birthday

Didn't really get to celebrate becoz she went back to hometown to visit a sick relative. When she got back, we just have dinner at home and that's that. Later in the evening, Wee's friends came over for to visit. We hung out at Seng's room. While getting the drinks, I noticed a gold bottle of Absolut Vodka. I thot it was quite bling bling. :) Imagine my surprise when I noticed the bottle is labelled, Absolut Bling Bling Vodka - Limited Edition. I'm not making this up! :) Heh heh! Things one find in Seng's room. :D
