170. Nite out

It's been a while since Chong came over and hung out. Tonite, after dropping of his wife at the airport, we met up at Chef & Brew.

nice decor & bad service :)

The bunch hanging out

Just lepaking until Anthony and Jia Li arrived. It's Jia Li's b'day, so we bought a cheese cake to celebrate. Was simple and we had a good time catching up.

169. Lost

It's been 4 days since my last blog. Gosh, was a rather quiet weekend if not for a crazy sunday.

For Friday nite, I Went out to Soho to meet up with a bunch of people whom I haven't seen in a while. Among them, Josie, Fuen, Siew Bee, Yoon, Henry and Danny. Surprisingly met a few of my Uni mates there as well. Fun nite.

Here's Raine and Josie having a tummy competition (Josie is pregnant too)

Sat was boring

Sunday started with a laksa lunch and also durian :) the durian place is amazing. From the roadside, it looks like your regular road side stall, but when we took a closer look, he's converted part of the jungle into a mini zoo. He's got 3 ostriches, a few chickens, some parrots and misc birds, a peacock and a peahen and also a pond of huge kois. The price there is also a killer :P not going back there again.

The 3 ostriches (left pic) and the Koi pond (the right pic)

The hut we ate the durians in

Chuang decided to have a durian party as well so looks like i'll be having durian for dinner too. Heh heh heh. Chuang and Niki came over to pick me up at 5:30ish and we head to Gurney coz they wanted to look at some puppies. They wanna "adopt" one to nuture their parental instincts. Hmmmm. Anyway, I wanted to develope some photos. So we parted ways. I caught up with them at the pet shop and guess what! They've already decided on a PUG (and yes! they have their own website) and will be picking it up on wednesday. They've decided to call it Roger becoz it looks like one. Wat the? I don't want to see their pup if they decide to call it Richard! heh heh.

Roger the Pug

We proceeded to buy Dominoes pizza and head over to Chuwy's house. It's been a while since I went over to their house d. Wonder if Sophia or Sean still remembers me.

The durian and Pizza mix at Chuwy's house

Just when I thot that'll be the end of an eventful day, Wee called and ask if I wanted to go over to Soho with Seng and him. Well, thot what the heck, won't miss a brotherly gathering for anything. Off I went then. Surprisingly some of the Intel gang was there as well.

Dave came over and introduced a few ladies to us, they're his old college mate's daughter (Sabrina) and her friends (Jo & Fiona). They call him Uncle Dave. Never heard people call him that before :D We teased him a little. Turns out that one of the girls (Sabrina) is a pretty decent singer and sings for a living back in UK. So since, Dave owns the place, he turned it into a karaoke nite :D made her sing a couple of songs. We were pleasantly surprised when she sang. She does have a good voice. Played the usual few rounds of pool. I did learn a new party trick. Tying the cherry stem with my tongue. I figured with my super flexible tongue, I shud be able to do it. Voila, I was right. but somehow this is not a thing I wanna do too often :P. One only see girls doing things like this :D Oh well, called it a nite after that.

Sabrina singing while Jo "watches" on

My cherry stem tying masterpiece :P

Monday was rather slow in the morning, but towards the afternoon, the pace picked up. It was a really bad day as things start piling up. It seems to have a domino effect once a delivery is backlogged. Spent the rest of the day controlling the damage.

168. Expiry

Today, the Miki Ojisan No Mise cheese cake expired! How sad! There's still half of it left. Unfortunately, no one like the chocolate version. They liked the original cheese only. Alas. Wasted wasted wasted.

Wanted to watch The Interpreter last nite, but was a bit tired. To cut the long story short, just stayed home and watched "Assault on precinct 13" instead. Not too bad a movie. The plot is interesting. Well, it's off to bed after that.

Wonder what's in store for me today :)

Just found out that Initial D started showing last nite!!!! arrggghhhhh, I didn't even realise as I was busy checking out GSC and didn't realise they're showing at Mega Pavillion. Off to Bukit Jambul Complex tonite then.

End up we went to Perai Megamall to watch Initial D there. The show is good, but they did distort the history of some characters. Oh well, overall, it's still fun and funny to watch. It lives up to my very high expectations of it.

167. Notebook housekeeping

My notebook has been a tad slow recently. It seems that I'm running out of storage space. What is there to do but delete data. Couldn't decide what to delete. Figured that since this notebook is for work purpose, I can only delete "play" data. After backing up all my pictures and videos, off to the trash can they go. Saved up about 5 Gb of space. Hopefully none of the data got corrupted. After defragmenting, much to my relief, the speed is up from crap to bearable. :)

166. Room cleaning

Was cleaning up the room last nite and found a few interesting items. Among them are some silly "photos" I took at a photo booth back in my university. :D my gosh. It looks so silly i had to scan it and post it.

Tee Ann and I looking "beautiful"

I told u guys i had a photo of an alien!

165. F1 Fiasco

Actually wanted to title this entry as Happy Father's Day, but my dad is still in Hong Kong and this once in a lifetime Formula 1 fiasco is even bigger news! I stayed up to watch the the F1 race in Indianapolis. There were talks about a boycott by the Michelin tire runners (14 out of 20 cars). I was telling myself that it's impossible. I'm sure the race will go on. The race went on alright! With only 6 cars. Sigh. I can't believe i stayed up to watch. Yawn. Here's the full story.

The rare pic of the six cars Formula 1 starting grid. Take a good look, this is unlikely to happen again.

Anyway, woke up late and went for tea and shopping at Gurney plaza with Seng, Fen, Wee, Raine and Ru Yi! Yes, Ru yi! Seng and Fen decided to take her out. She loves it. We stopped by Segafredo first to grab something to bite and have a drink.

Seng and Ru Yi at Segafredo

I wanted to buy battery for my camera, Raine and Fen wanted to walk around too. So i walked around with Raine and Fen. hmmm, feels funny. Me walking around pushing a baby tram around. Makes me feel like Chuwy :D

Walked around Gurney plaza and found out that a new shop opened up. To my surprise it's a branch of a japanese cheese cake shop from KLCC. This is the same shop I mentioned earlier in my blog (Entry #48 - 14th March 05). Bought a chocolate cheese cake to indulge. :)

164. Triumph the insult comic dog rules!

Started the day with a video clip of Triumph the insult comic dog's day out at Santa Maria during Wacko Jacko's trial. So basically Triumph was "interviewing" the fans gathered there. Good thing for Triumph, they're just Wacko's fans. If Triumph was at Anfield taking a piss at Liverpool footballers, there'll be realllll trouble. This video really cracked me up. What a nice way to start off my day :)

Anyway, the video clip can be downloaded at

Here's Triumph telling everybody, "Of course he's innocent! C'mon, would these faces lie to you???" While holding the picture of MJ's face transformation from black to white.

163. Another weekend of freedom!!!!!

Muah har har har har, sent parents off to Hong Kong this morning at 5:45am. They'll be gone till sunday evening or monday morning! :) eh? wat's this i feel on my head? They feel like horns! I feel empowered!!!! What will it be? BBQ weekend? Party weekend or just take it easy and chill. :) Well, stay tuned, we'll be right back with the programs ;)

So far, dinner tonite will be KFC in front of the TV and coffee with Andrew and gang at Chef & Brew.

Chong and Hiromi will be going to KL this weekend........should I?

Below is another interesting column I received in the mail. I'm beginning to wonder who is this James Lau that mysteriously started sending me these articles a couple of months back.

Life is all about loving

Life is all about loving. How come? Because loving is the Kingdom of God, for God is love. All of us look for the Kingdom of God here and now. We can have it if we love. Truly love.

Marriage is one area where we can make it into a Kingdom of God or a hell of a place here and now. It all depends on whether we have learned to love or not. There will always be disagreement, flare-up and conflict in the home. Have we learned to rise above them and continue to grow in love?

To be good at anything we have to spend time and effort studying and practising the topic. Similarly to be loving we need to know what is love. We should not confuse love with the Hollywood-type-of movie love. What then is love? True love at its very basic is":

Patient
Do I allow him/her to have his views, his mannerism, and his ways of doing things? Can I overlook his shortcomings or faults?
Will I be able to bear the blame and accusation?
Can I accept him as he is?

Kind
Do I have a kind heart towardshim/her?
Do I strive to make him happy?
Do I uplift his spirit when he is anxious or depressed?
Am I tender hearted towards him?

Forgiving
Mother Teresa says, “We must make our homes centers of compassion and forgive endlessly.” (“A Gift for God”, 18)
Do I try to forgive endlessly at home?
Do I harbor grudges over long period of time?
Do I hold on to resentment?
Do I keep a record of wrongs he has done to be used against him?
Do I tried to forgive and forget?

Self-giving
Do I sacrifice myself for him/her?
Am I generous towards him?
Can I give in to the relatively unimportant comments and arguments?
Do I give up my preferences, goals, comfort, time and energy for him?

Encouraging
Am I always an encourager or a critic towards him/her?
Do I affirm him?
Am I his cheer leader?
Do I look forward to his potential or do I see him as he is?
Do I constantly find ways to praise him?

Have we spent the time to cultivate and nurture these qualities or are we so engrossed with making a living that we don’t bother about such things? How then can we be good at loving?

Ultimately relationship, not what we achieved or acquired, is what matters most in life. So why do we allow our relationships to get the short end of the stick? When our schedules become overloaded, we start skimming relationally, cutting back on giving the time, energy, and attention that loving relationships require. What’s most important to us is replaced by what is most urgent.

When life on earth is ending, we don’t surround ourselves with objects. What we want around us is people---people we love and have relationships with.

In our final moments we all realize that relationships are what life is all about. Learning this truth sooner rather than later is wisdom. Why then wait until we are on our deathbed to figure out that nothing matters more than a loving relationship?

My Random Thots:

Wow! Judging by these criterias, am I capable of love? I guess I can't answer that. Only people around me are qualified to answer that.
162. Batman begins!

The whole day was mundane. Wanted to do something different so decided that it'll be movie nite :) actually Yew Peng wanted to watch Star Wars, so being a good buddy, I say I'll accompany him loe. But alas (for him at least), they're showing Star Wars only at 6pm so he can't make. So poor us have to go watch Batman Begins at 11:30pm. I'm actually looking forward to that. :)

So Yew Peng, Jo and I had dinner at 1901 Hotdog stand and then over to Leomag because Yew Peng wanted to have Chocolate waffle. Walked around a bit. Wanted to buy batteries for my camera and also checking out some LCD TVs :) They're so sexy :)

Collecting tickets for the movie was dramatic. Their phone reservation system is down and we risk loosing our seats! After much drama, Jo got us sorted out and managed to get us back row center for the show. :) Very happy with the seating except for one "little" thing, there's a fat smelly guy next to me. Now, now, I'm not being mean. He literaly is fat and he smells! I lost my appetite for my popcorns. Ewwwww.

Consolation was, the movie is good. Just that I think Christian Bale is too old to be playing a "young" Batman. :) Also, it doesn't make sense that a device that can vaporize water doesn't first vaporize the blood in the human body :) and also a lot of other complains that I'll add later so that for those of you who haven't seen the movie, I didn't spoil it for you. Though I will say that I'm surprised that Bruce Wayne didn't "get" Rachel Dawes (Katie Holmes).

Reached home and by the time I finally get into bed, it's already 3:30am. I have to send my parents to the airport at 5:45am. Gosh.

161. Captain Jeff is in town

Jefferson flew into Penang last nite and will be around today and leave early tomorrow morning back to KL. It's rare that they fly the Airbus from KL to Penang, but it seems that they do that when there's a lot of bookings for the day or something to that effect as he explains. I was rather distracted.

Decided to meet up at Haagen Daaz together with Anthony and Zakri. Yew Peng is feeling a tad lazy, so he didn't join us. After ice cream, we went for dinner at Kassim Mustafa (Hey! our mums are not around, so we can bloody have our dessert first and spoil our dinner k :P)

In the world news, MJ is not guilty!! Free of ALL charges. Good for him, now I only hope he has learnt his lesson and no more kids in the bedroom with him. Not even his own kids. Gosh, innocent or not, he has to stop all this crap.

An artist's sketch of the courtroom proceedings

To all his believers out there, go visit his website, http://mjjsource.com/ or join his forum even, http://www.mjnewsonline.com/. As for me, I'd rather be listening to his music than hear about him facing the music ;)

160. F1 party

Wee and I watched the Montreal F1 together. Watching F1 while having internet access has changed the way we get info. We can get live timing at F1's official website.

A screenshot of the info we can get online

Wee and I online checking the live timing and eating cup noodles :)

Excellent! Ferrari finished 2 & 3 behind Kimi. helped a tad by the fact that the safety car was deployed at lap 48 after Button crashed into the "wall of champions". Great race to watch. Very exciting.

159. A new toy

After work yesterday, went to One Stop with Yew Peng becoz he wanted to get some DVDs and also a home theatre system. So I thot wat the heck, I'll look at some cameras since mine kaputed 2 days back. Just to see what's in the market. Was thinking i'll get the Canon Ixus 700 since it's Canon (since I'm familiar with the functions and all), but Wee also mentioned I should check out the Sony DSC-T7. I don't like Sony because of their Memory Stick. But, I'll keep an open mind and compare a few others.

Reached One Stop and made our customary stop at the DVD shop. To my suprise, they have the clear copy of Madagascar already. Went ahead and got that. Then went to a camera shop there and asked for the Ixus and the T7. Unfortunately, they didn't have the Ixus 700, but they're the authorised dealer for Sony and they can give me a great deal on the T7. Hmmm, played with the camera and fell in love with it's size and feel (guess I am that shallow after all). Suddenly, I'm swayed towards the T7. The fact that they didn't carry the Ixus 700 didn't help either. Resisted and walked away.

Walked over to Gurney plaza to SenQ to look for Yew Peng's Home Theatre System. While walking to SenQ, we passed by GSC and discovered Mr and Mrs Smith is showing and there was no que, we promptly went ahead and got the tickets and then proceeded to SenQ. I was looking at the camera while Yew Peng went to the sound system section. They carry both the Ixus and the T7. The sales person's recommendation was also the T7. He let me play around with the T7 and even went as far as asking me to take a fwe shots with the camera and he'll print them out for me to compare. Talk about service. Realised we're running late for the movies, I told him that i'll come back after the movies for the demo.

The show was ok. Angelina Jolie looks stunning and the first half of the show is pretty interesting, once the plot is revealed, one realises that it's rather lame. The second half of the movie is filled with lotsa "Rambo" action. Disappointed. Looking forward to the ending so that I can go back to SenQ for the demo.

As promised, the guy set up the camera, I took a 3 shots of different lighting condition and zoom levels. Found that it performed excellent in well lit areas with 1X optical zoom. At max zoom of 3X and low lighting conditions, it's rather snowy. But overall it's a pretty good package. Figured, if I'm gonna get one, this will be it. Talked about the price a liltte bit and decided to buy it. He was telling me that this is the newest camera from Sony and right now they have a promotion on it. They're throwing in an additional 256MB memory stick free. and for an additional RM125, I get a total of 5 yrs full warranty on this baby. Gosh, I'm weak. I decided to go ahead and get it. Don't want to make the same mistake of paying a bomb for my previous camera and realised that they launched a newer model at the same price a month later. :P Guess with this model, it's shouldn't happen coz they just launched this a month back, i think.

Ended the nite at Grand Bay Cafe with Lai, Anthony, Nicholas, Hung and Charles. After a few drinks, we went to Sany Char Koay Teow at Sg Dua for, yes, you guessed it, Char Koay Teow. :)

Woke up early today and couldn't wait to charge up the camera and put it to work :) The only complain so far about this camera is the lack of a tripod mounting point. You have to screw on the docking station and the tripod mounting point is on the docking station. Darn it.

Went for lunch with Parents, Seng and Wee. Nothing special, we just went to the Teowchew porridge place opposite Bkt Jambul Complex. Dad wanted to shop for shorts and mom wanted some running/walking shoes. I was with mom looking for her shoes and she got one funky looking Nike shoe and asked the lady for her size. She was complaining about how expensive these shoes are nowadays. I figured I haven't done anything nice for her in a long time, so I told her not to worry about it and just choose one she likes and I'll buy it for her. The lady came back with the shoe and she tried it on. Unfortunately, she doesn't like the feel of the shoe, she complained that the built in "sock" is very restrictive. I told her it's part of the show design so that she won't sprain her ankle when running/walking. She's not convinced. We went to another shop, she didn't spot anything she likes. Thus ends the shoe adventure, Dad did manage to find a pair of shorts though.

Got home and realised how dirty my car is, so decided to give it a bath. After that, played with my camera some more. Seng came back with Balik Pulau laksa and bought some home for us. Finished that and went over to his room with Wee and Raine to watch Madagascar. The show is suprisingly funny. Well done Dreamworks.

Got nothing else planned for this evening except watching Montreal F1 with Wee at midnite tonite.

158. Death of a loyal subject

My camera died last nite. :( Seng, Wee, myself and few friends were out celebrating Wee's b'day last nite (Wee's b'day is actually today - 10th) and when they brought the out the cake, I whipped out my camera and voila! these are the shots i get. Sigh. It's been a fun 3 yrs or so. I've taken over 6 GBs of photos (including my favouritest lightning pic as displayed on the pix column on the right) thanks to it. Rest in peace buddy.

Final pics taken with my (now defunct) camera

On a totally unrelated note, here's part of a circular I receive thru email. Thot it might be helpful

Taming our Hot Temper

Temper takes many forms. The form of temper we now adopt as adults depends very much on what was successfully applied on us as children. For example, if the significant adults had used temper to control us successfully, we now use temper to try to control others. Since we had focused on the injustice of the temper so much, we unconsciously imbibe the very behavior we hated.

Temper can be obvious or it can be subtle. Temper manifests itself in some of the following ways:

a) explosion----we rage, we use anger to lash out at others and intimidate them.
b) implosion----we give the silent treatment, we sulk, we turn it inward and beat ourselves up.
c) irritation---we have little tolerance, we are out of control.
d) repetition---we nag constantly, we are stuck in the same angry groove.

It is best to avoid all forms of anger because if we give anger an inch, it will take a mile. So don’t let anger get a foothold in our hearts. For once anger gets into our hearts, it is hard to uproot. And if we let the sun go down on our anger, our hearts will harden into resentment and bitterness.

We are the only one who can make ourselves angry. We choose how we respond to the event that upset us. The meaning we give to the event will determine whether we become angry or not. What we tell ourselves makes us angry. How? By telling ourselves that we have been taken undue advantage of, that we have been unfairly treated, abused, bullied, humiliated, browbeaten, intimidated, coerced or mercilessly whacked for minor mistakes or by recounting to ourselves all the perceived wrongs that have been done to us in the past. It is vital that we watch our thoughts as we can temporarily stop our anger when we change our thoughts or change what we tell ourselves. Yet, why do we often become more and more angry? Because we refuse to change our angry thoughts or we choose to churn over and over in our minds what we keep telling ourselves. And what we tell ourselves keep us locked in our anger prison.

Often, we become angry because we don’t get our ways. We have not learnt the art of allowing, tolerating, accommodating and accepting differences in views, values, mannerisms and perspectives.

Sometimes we become angry because current word or event triggers off some childhood abuse, fear or anxiety.

But, the ultimate objective of all forms of anger is to try to control the behavior of the other person. We use anger to intimidate, manipulate and subdue the other person.

Anger becomes most dangerous when it hardens our hearts and makes us so self-righteous that we cannot see our fault. What we cannot see, in ourselves, we cannot change. When we refuse to apologize for our anger we imprison ourselves in our own self-righteousness. We stand on our pride. We harden our heart. But when we start to say “I am sorry,” we begin to unburden our heart and release ourselves from our own imprisonment. Somehow the chain is removed. The shackle is broken. Sure some will take advantage of our apology but the heavy burden of being locked up in our own anger is lightened. Apology unlocks our heart for the reconciliation to begin.

157. Quiet day again

Finally finished reading Loosing my virginity by Richard Branson. Damn good autobiography I tell you. He's had such a colourful life yet not jaded. Great man. Didn't know there's so much to flying in a balloon or trying to get the right to fly out of Heathrow Airport. You learn new things everyday :)

Well it's the usual slow day. After work, went for a haircut and spent the rest of the evening at home. Was watching the idiot box and finishing up some paper work. They were showing everything on Astro from screen savers to CSI to Elvis. Was also surfing the web and chatting with friends online. While surfing the web, came across this interesting article.

Jesus died of blood clot, Israeli researcher says
Expert: Crucifixion caused pulmonary embolism, not fatal blood loss
Updated: 6:43 a.m. ET June 8, 2005

JERUSALEM - An Israeli researcher has challenged the popular belief that Jesus died of blood loss on the cross, saying he probably succumbed to a sometimes fatal disorder now associated with long-haul air travel.

Professor Benjamin Brenner wrote in The Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis that Jesus’ death, traditionally believed to have occurred 3 to 6 hours after crucifixion began, was probably caused by a blood clot that reached his lungs.

Such pulmonary embolisms, leading to sudden death, can stem from immobilization, multiple trauma and dehydration, said Brenner, a researcher at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.

“This fits well with Jesus’ condition and actually was in all likelihood the major cause of death by crucifixion,” he wrote in the article, based on religious and medical texts.

A 1986 study in the Journal of the American Medical Association mentioned the possibility that Jesus suffered a blood clot but concluded that he died of blood loss.

But Brenner said research into blood coagulation had made significant strides over the past two decades.

He said recent medical research has linked immobility among passengers on lengthy air flights to deep vein thrombosis, popularly known as “economy-class syndrome” in which potentially fatal blood clots can develop, usually in the lower legs.

Brenner noted that before crucifixion, Jesus underwent scourging, but the researcher concluded that “the amount of blood loss by itself” would not have killed him.

He said that Jesus, as a Jew from what is now northern Israel, may have been particular at risk to a fatal blood clot.

Thrombophilia, a rare condition in which blood has an increased tendency to clot, is common to natives of the Galilee, the researcher wrote.

156. A friend is going under the knife

Just got news that Jo is going under the knife. A minor surgery to clear some blocked glands (i think). She seems scared. But i reckon it's a small thing and not expecting any complications. She went in at 9pm and came out 10pm. Everything was fine.

Other than that, nothing interesting I guess. After seeing bits and pieces of Madagascar at the pirated DVD shops on sunday, I suddenly have this urge to go watch it. Now, to find mates.

Madagascar

Found the car picture I was looking for to add to entry #153 :) It's amazing what people dare to drive on the streets. This car belongs to an Indian man and he was really really proud to show off his car :) I can only say Omigosh!

155. Sick

Had a headache the whole day. Good thing it's a replacement holiday for most of my customers, so i didn't have to entertain them. It was a full day nonetheless.

Was really tired after work and just crawled to bed and watched DVDs. Half way thru, inspiration hit and I went downstairs to rearrange the carpet in my car after realizing it was put in the wrong order. The passenger side was switched with the driver's side. So I switched it back and it no longer slips. :D Then back to bed to vegetate. Finished up the Japanese Anime, Appleseed and continued the marathon with Hotel Rwanda. Both was good. Appleseed really excelled in the graphics dept. They managed to render water very realistically and the humanoid fighting machines a.k.a landmates (fancy name for robots) are done beautifully. It wasn't lazy like some animes, where some frames are done in extreme detail, while other frames are rushed thru. Appleseed is done well from start till end. The only distraction is I have to read the subtitles instead of fully watching the "action" on screen.

The landmate that our heroin, Deunan uses

As for Hotel Rwanda, wow! it's a moving true story about the war (more like genocide of tutsis) between the Hutus and the Tutsis in Rwanda. And about how one man, risked his life and his family to save thousands of refugees. Amazing! It's hard to believe in the world full of hatred and evil, there can be a man who's upright, brave and smart. Rare. Even rarer that he uses his intelligence for good and not to plot and scheme. The world needs more movies like this to give people hope.

154. Clearing up the aftermath of Antz

Cleared up my room of all the dead antz. Phew.

The dead antz all over my sofa

Went over to One Stop with Yew Peng after that. Bought a DVD of the movie Hostage starring Bruce Willis. After One Stop, went over to Soho to meet up with my bros and sis in laws.

Wee's got a new hairstyle and also a new blue tooth ear piece for his O2 mini

Just lazed around at Soho until dinner time and bought dinner at Jelutong. Gonna eat dinner and watch Bruce Willis' Hostage with Seng, Wee and Fen at home. Time to retire and call it a nite.

153. Kena tipu

We went over to Autocity for the GT Fair after Tony and Jack arrive KB at about 2ish. My goodness. It's a con job i tell u. We arrive and it was packed. There are a lot of people there. There was really nothing much to see. There were only 2 GT cars on display. That was nice. What was really bad was there's this company called RABK. They specialize in custom made bodykits. My goodness they're ugly. Low class imitations and really really odd.

Ooooo! Fake air scoop, adds 100HP :)

Spoilers at the rear roof and boot deck adds another 100HP :D

Front power buldge, normally for bigger engines, but in this case, as with everything on this car, it's just for aesthetics :D

Ha! Ha! Ha! Just look at how far the exhaust tip sticks out!!!!!!

They apparently advertised that there'll be a Lancer Evolution 9 GSR and Impreza STi S203 on display. Apparently they meant Lancer Evo 8 and Impreza STi. Kena con. But we had fun just hanging out.

Went back home at about 3am. Wanted to just take a shower and go sleep. To my horror, as I walk into my room, it's an ant farm!!!! There're antz all over my window frame and all. Arrgghhhhhh! Time to break out the insecticides. Spent the next hour or so to spray the whole area and move furniture out of the way. Tired, sleep time.

Busy day at work and again tired. Got home about 8ish. Good thing dinner was delicious. :) Will be having a sleep over at Chong's house. Tomorrow, Jack and Tony will come from Chang Lun and we might go over to Autocity for their GT auto show. Supposedly got some good stuff on display there. :) well, time to call it a nite.

151. Pit Crew Tag

Spent a good part of this evening looking for this tag. Just realised I lost it and wanted to scan it to be included in the blog. Was looking all over my room for it. Finally found it in my car. Dingbat!

You can see us wearing this tag in entry #139

Basically nothing much happened as I was too tired from work. Decided to have a quiet evening working on my car. And called it an early nite.

150. Been a crappy work week

So not surprisingly it's also crappy today. Went home and wanted to sleep. Wee said we haven't gone out together with seng for a long time. So we decided to meet up with Seng at Wine & Cigar at Pulau Tikus. The band is horrible, so we left and went to Soho. Just the 3 of us catching up on things. Finally called it a nite at 3am. 'Twas a good nite.
