155. Sick

Had a headache the whole day. Good thing it's a replacement holiday for most of my customers, so i didn't have to entertain them. It was a full day nonetheless.

Was really tired after work and just crawled to bed and watched DVDs. Half way thru, inspiration hit and I went downstairs to rearrange the carpet in my car after realizing it was put in the wrong order. The passenger side was switched with the driver's side. So I switched it back and it no longer slips. :D Then back to bed to vegetate. Finished up the Japanese Anime, Appleseed and continued the marathon with Hotel Rwanda. Both was good. Appleseed really excelled in the graphics dept. They managed to render water very realistically and the humanoid fighting machines a.k.a landmates (fancy name for robots) are done beautifully. It wasn't lazy like some animes, where some frames are done in extreme detail, while other frames are rushed thru. Appleseed is done well from start till end. The only distraction is I have to read the subtitles instead of fully watching the "action" on screen.

As for Hotel Rwanda, wow! it's a moving true story about the war (more like genocide of tutsis) between the Hutus and the Tutsis in Rwanda. And about how one man, risked his life and his family to save thousands of refugees. Amazing! It's hard to believe in the world full of hatred and evil, there can be a man who's upright, brave and smart. Rare. Even rarer that he uses his intelligence for good and not to plot and scheme. The world needs more movies like this to give people hope.
