It's always hard to get back to reality after a vacation, but alas, what choice do we have. Good thing I can always make it less painful. :) the rub for me would be getting the Onkyo AV Receiver. This balm would ease the main discomfort, the for the lesser bruises, I got the soothing sounds of Emi Fujita, Miho Nakayama & a misc complilation. Ahhhhh, I feel much better.

Next, more shopping! this was because it's the merdeka sales. I needed to get working clothes as I've been getting comments about how I'm always wearing the same shirt. My shoes, undies & pen are also dying, so got replacements as well. Never had cuff link shirts before, so while @ G2000, got meself 3 of em. Including a funky pink one. That's 2 firsts. So since I got the shirts, had to look for cuff links too. Roaming around in Prangin mall scored me another shirt and also an el cheapo USB charging cable for my phone. Online it would've cost me USD30.00. After checking with Samsung locally, it was RM30.00, a significant drop from USD30, but a local shop there was selling the cable for RM9.90. Beat that! From USD30 to RM9.90. Not sure if it's Malaysia Boleh or China Boleh! How, Lou & Juls got back from the states bearing gifts and also the PS3 remote. Now watching movies using the PS3 will be so much easier.

Watched Lee Chong Wei's game @ TGI Fridays. Unfortunately he didn't manage to win the Gold, but it's the first ever silver for Malaysia. Apparently he'll be awarded the "covetted" Datukship and also RM300,000. Not bad for a Penang boy! :)

My baby finally reached the 7,777km mark, so far, it's been wonderful, except for a faulty power steering pump. Not a good sign. Went bowling with Chuang & Brian. It's been a long time since my last bowling session. Was pleasantly surprised when I bowled my career high of 156pts.

Bought myself a Betta (aka fighting fish) after looking @ some fishes while roaming Prangin Mall with Yippie & Chong. If that fish survive for longer than 3 mths, then I'll consider getting some more exotic fishes. Chuwy & Seok Hong's back, so went for dinner @ Cherry Sweet together with Chuang & Niki. After dinner, it's off to my place to catch the Olympics closing ceremony. Of course we took some time off to listen to me preach on the goodness of PS3. :) played a few rounds ot Time Crisis while their wives watches. I think I've successfully placed myself on Seok Hong & Niki's "Do not let hubby hangout with" list. :D Afer they left, found a curious ant roaming around my toilet. Time for a photoshoot, before it meets its maker in a mist of aerosol.

626. Vacation!!!!

Went to Langkawi to chill. It was originally planned for Lorraine since she'll be finally out of confinement, but alas, she still has to take care of Ian, so Both Wee and herself didn't make it. But it was still fun though. Island Hopping was pretty routine, except that I managed to hike to the natural barrier at Tasik Dayang Bunting. The last time I wanted to do that, but was hindered. Finally visited the Underwater World and took a ride on the Cable Car. The Underwater World was pretty impressive. Especially the Penguin exhibit and the seals, but their 3D cinema was a dissapointment. The cable car ride was exciting. There were times I thought the gondola might just drop. What to do, I lack faith in the Malaysian maintainence program. It was a bit hazy, so the view wasn't fantastic, but I was in it for the ride.

Our timing was impecable, it would've ruined our whole trip if it rained. But our whole stay there was dry & pleasant, it rained when we were flying to Langkawi and stopped when we got there, also as we were driving to the airport, it started raining. If I didn't know better, I would've thought my prayers were heard.

625. 08.08.08 Beijing Olympics!

So begins 2008 Beijing Olympics, we didn't manage to catch the whole opening ceremony as we attending "A Taste Of Aloha" @ Equatorial Hotel. Basically it's an evening to experience Hawaiian cuisine as well as their culture. They flew in a chef from Hawaii and also some dancers. It was a lovely evening. We later adjourned to Soho to catch the final moments of the opening ceremony. Getting excited about the Langkawi trip tomorrow.
