135. Weekend update

Friday (13th May)
Survived Friday the 13th without incident. It's the next 2 days that was hectic and fun at the same time. Kinky!

Anyway, we arrived Friday nite in KL without much drama. Didn't get as much rest the nite before as i'd prefer. We were suppose to meet at 6pm at the Juru rest area. After everyone (Yew Peng, Chong, Ah Lai, Adrian, Ah Khai and Ah Loy) arrive at the Juru rest area, We finally left at 7pm. It was raining very heavily so we took our own sweet time. We finally reached KL at about 10:45pm. Went straight to Paramount at SEA Park (near DUMC) to meet up with Jack, Ann, Jeff and some other friends.

We went back to hotel to shower and freshen up. This freshening up is obviously not my idea :P After refreshing THEMSELVES, we decided to go over to Bangsar to have the nasi lemak ayam. But this time we tried a different shop. It seems that the one we tried during our last trip was much better. As we sat and ate, we planned our activities for saturday

Saturday (14th May)
Woke up "early" at 9:30am. I wasn't hungry so I stayed in the room to sort out some issues back at the office. Don't they understand that when I'm on leave, I prefer to be left alone and not be bugged by office issues unless it's an emergency.

Yew Peng and the rest came back from breakfast so we set out looking for the clinic that Yew Peng is suppose to go for his compulsory medical check up pre entrance into the flight school in Melacca. After that episode, we went round KL looking for a car on behalf of Chong's brother. Went to about 4 dealers and have one more private seller tomorrow.

Me, Chong, Yew Peng and Jack posing (We dunno whos car that is)

After all that, we went over to Sunway to meet with Jack and Ann. Basically spend the whole evening there. Dinner was great. It was a seafood restaurant in PJ. Especially liked the Fried buns that goes with the marmite crab. Nice, but rather steep :) After the heavy meal, they decided to go out partying.

Food Fiasco

Me making that fiasco :)

Ah Lai's friend recommended we go to this place called the Loft on the Heritage Row. It seems that Joanne is also familiar with the place Ah Lai's friend recommended. Good thing too, we were gonna go in 2 cars, so at least we don't have to worry if we loose sight of the first car. OK, back to the Heritage Row, apparently it's a row of happening places right in the heart of the city. Never even knew this place existed. Found out that Bar Savanh is also on the same stretch. We reached the entrance of The Loft and I saw the line of people trying to get in. Boy it's gonna be a long, long nite. Surprisingly Ah Lai went to talk to the bouncer and next thing you know, we're in. Nice :)

A typical KL setting i'll say. The architecture of the building itself is eye candy. The interiors are lavishly decorated and of course the price of drinks there are *ahem* classy as well. This is the first time I see Yew Peng pouring drinks for himself. Interesting, wonder if there's anything on his mind. Heh heh heh. Basically stayed till closing time and went over to God knows where for porridge. Surprisingly after stuffing ourselves silly with crab not too long ago, we're now hungry already. The piggy strikes again.

Goodness, I've never seen so many police road blocks in my life. They're everywhere and the blocks were set up in every direction. You basically can't get out of the area without passing 1 police block. We were adventurous (lost), we passed 2. Heh heh heh. I reckon if he sees us one more time, he'll pull us over eventhough we weren't drunk or anything.

Sunday (15th May)
Alarm went off at 9am. We have a 10 o'clock with the private seller at Bangsar. We dragged ourselves out of bed. at 9:30am the seller smsed me to tell me he can't make and if we can reschedule to 3:45pm at J.W.Marriot. After consulting with Chong and taking some shooting from him, I smsed him back to tell him OK. Shoot the messenger why don't they :P

Went back to sleep.

Checked out of the hotel at 1pm and went for lunch. After lunch, met up with the buyer and took a look at the car. This one is in the best condition of the lot we saw. At least it was worth the time to get caught up in the jam and all.

We left for Penang after that. Stopped at Sg Buloh to replace my car's spark plug coz it was flooded. Spent about 30mins to do that and set off on our way again. Stopped at Tapah for dinner and again at Taiping for a toilet break. We made one final stop after the Juru toll to say goodbyes but Yew Peng, Jack and I head to a mamak at Sg Ara for "debriefing". Finally reached home at 1am. Suprisingly my mom and Seng is still awake. Chatted a bit and retired to my room.

Gosh, am I happy to see my bed.
